It’s much more energy efficient to dry clothes on the washing line, rather than use an electricity guzzling tumble drier, but what do you do on a showery day?  This very simple cover for a rotary washing line is the answer.

Each panel is a truncated triangle of waterproof rip stop sil-nylon, with elastic sewn to the corners of the long top edge of the cover. These attach the top edge of the cover to your rotary washing line

To hold the bottom edge of the cover, there is another length of elastic cord that goes round the central pole. A toggle on the end of the elastic fastens into a loop

When not needed, it lives in a bag with the clothes pegs.
